| Thanks for a Great 2019 Season! |

The 2019 Lake Ontario fishing season was a special one for Fish Doctor Charters thanks to the many repeat anglers we fished with, some who have been aboard for more than 20 years and a few “lifers” like Mike Loughrey who have fished with us since 1982, 37 years! Thanks to all of you.
If you fished aboard the Fish Doctor in, 2019, you know that most of the season king salmon fishing was off the chart. Fish Doctor anglers started catching kings just outside Oswego Harbor on April 19, and we never looked back. Because the salmon fishing was so good all season, we did very little brown trout fishing until September.That’s when we started targeting big, prespawn browns that were staged inshore in Mexico Bay, and caught some of our largest browns of the season. Because of the abundance of browns we saw in late season, prospects for outstanding brown trout fishing in the spring of 2020 could not look better.

There is an old saying something to the effect that old sea captains never die, and in my case that may be true. Plans in 2019 to sell Fish Doctor Charters have changed and I’ll continue to operate the Fish Doctor out of Oswego Marina, focusing primarily on on-water fishing classes along with Great Lakes tackle and technique development, working hand in hand with companies like Pro-Troll, Michigan Stinger, ABU Garcia, Penn, Berkley, Steel Shad, and others.
A variety of classes will be available at your request, plus scheduled classes like, 1) The Secret to Catching Early Spring Oswego Harbor Kings and, 2) Deadly Homemade Jitterflies for Trout and Salmon. Photo right, a triple on midJuly kings, all taken on Pretty Jane Jitterflies.

Many thousands of browns have been boated on the Fish Doctor by anglers from all over, but none more magnificent than the hooked-jawed male Henry Hitchcock boated on Sept. 17, 2019. It hit a custom tied “Green Hummer” Jitterfly behind an 11” purple ProChip.
Congratulations on catching the “2019 Fish of the Year”, Henry!

| Adirondac Golden Retriever Puppies |
One of the reasons the decision was made to spend less time time aboard the Fish Doctor in 2020 is our rapidly growing dog businesses. Both Adirondac Golden Retrievers and our Echoewood Dog Training Area have grown to bursting. Ya can’t be in two places at once!
Speaking of Adirondac Goldens, two of our females, Reddy and Pic had litters in October and the now 6-week old pups, 18 of them, are nearly ready for new homes. Sr. Hunter Reddy(Adirondac Paint the Town Red) was bred by Master Hunter Stormy(Adirondac Lake Effect). Master Hunter Pic(Adirondack work of Art) was bred by Buddy(Adirondac Paint the Town Red).Several male puppies are now available.
