Meet the Captain...
Captain Ernie
Our reputation was built around a team approach to fishing. Capt. Ernie normally operates "solo" on most trips,
including those when anglers ask for "hands-on" fishing with no mate.
On these trips, he operates electronics and downriggers, etc. but each angler helps set lines and hooks and lands fish.
Captain Ernie Lantiegne has 22 years experience as a NYSDEC fishery biologist/manager,
working in northeastern New York and the Finger Lakes area. He also served as Executive Director for the Adirondack Conservation Council.
He started guiding in the early '70s for trout and salmon on Lake George, and has since chartered on the Finger Lakes, Lake Champlain, and now Lake Ontario. He has
30 years experience fishing Lake Ontario and its tributaries for salmon, trout, bass, and walleyes since 1977.
Well known and highly respected, Capt. Ernie's articles on fishing and conservation appear regularly in magazines like Great Lakes Angler and Northwoods Sporting Journal.
Captains Ernie and Carol hope to fish with you soon.
